I am a registered psychologist and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. In my psychological practice based in Ipswich, Queensland, I apply my lifetime of experience from working with people from all walks of life. I combine this with a practical, common sense approach to help you make sense of your problems. I use a person-centred, strengths-based approach that is non-judgemental in nature and seeks to empower you to achieve your best.
I have worked with clients across the lifespan and from a variety of cultures. I have experience working with a variety of mental health conditions and have a special interest in mood disorders (such as anxiety and depression), relationships difficulties and trauma. I use a variety of therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Trauma-informed care.
I have worked in a range of settings including in the disability sector as well as in community-based mental health including clients who have plan managed NDIS packages. I have worked in the public, private and community sectors in a variety of settings and roles. My work has taken me to remote Indigenous communities and has included work with refugees and migrants from a wide range of cultures. From this experience I understand the particular difficulties faced by peoples from different cultures.
